Our August 10 Waldo County Dems forum on food security and affordable housing had a fantastic turnout both in person and on zoom! Clearly these are concerns that are held by many of our members and friends.
Senator Chip Curry spoke on affordable housing. Speakers on food security were Waldo County Bounty Chair Mary Leaming, Waldo County Bounty cofounder and partner through her Daybreak food access work Colleen Hanlon Smith, and Representative Bill Pluecker who is also a farmer and the MOFGA Public Policy Organizer.
Candidate for U.S. Senate Jordan Wood dropped by, introduced himself and answered questions about his priority issues and his plan to defeat Susan Collins.
