Thank you to everyone who helped make the Waldo County Dems End-of-Summer picnic a great event last Saturday September 10! More than 55 people attended, enjoying delicious food and live music in a beautiful setting on a sunny late summer day. It was wonderful to enjoy each other’s company in person after meeting on zoom for so long.
We’re grateful for everyone who could come and share their food and company with their fellow Dems, and especially appreciate Sue Conard for hosting us in her gorgeous gardens, Bill Berlinghoff for donating his performance to make for a very special day, Mary Lou and Bart Carhart and Pam Chase for preparing and serving our main course dishes, Karen Young for staffing the sign-in table, and Paul Robie and Reeves Gilmore for loads of work throughout.
We’re also pleased that so many of our local candidates could attend – thank you Pam Swift, Maggie English-Flanagan, Rep. Paige Zeigler, Rep. Jan Dodge, and Jason Trundy!

We took care of some business that day too. The Committee authorized spending on hand-painted yard signs and local advertising to get the word out ahead of Election Day about our Democratic values. Keep your eyes peeled for those signs and ads!
Lastly, congratulations are in order for three new County Committee members elected on Saturday: Felicia Files, Norma Rossel, and Greg Rossel. Thank you for being a party of the WCDC!
