Waldo County Woodshed Volunteer Day

On Saturday, December 13, a group of volunteers from the Waldo County Democrats showed up in Searsmont on a cold morning at the Waldo County Woodshed to join the regular volunteers there. Paul Follansbee, Su Wood, Paul Robie, Steve Ellis, Victoria Olson, Representative Jan Dodge, Representative Mike Ray, Dawn Walls, Paige Zeigler and Jana Herbener helped cut, split and move wood to fill a trailer with 1/4 cord for people to heat their homes. It was hard work, but we enjoyed a lunch of three soups and plenty of desserts together afterwards.

The Woodshed always need volunteers and if you can’t volunteer here’s a way to donate: https://waldocountywoodshed.org/donate.

The Woodshed Volunteer Day has become an annual tradition for the Waldo County Democrats. If you’d like to be part of the next one, reach out to us at info@waldocountydemocrats.com.
