Our Mission

The Waldo County Democratic Committee aims to promote the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party, to aid our government at every level to function effectively as a true democracy and a government of all people, and to support Democratic nominees and elect them to local, state, and federal office. 

Our Headquarters

Our office will open mid-June at 22 Searsport Avenue, Suite 102, in Belfast, Maine. Hours will be posted here.

Our Membership, Meetings and Officers

WCDC members are elected at each town’s biennial caucus (a meeting of local Democrats) in the spring of each even-numbered year, or by local committees or the County Committee any time of year. If you’re interested in becoming a WCDC member just email us for details at info@waldocountydemocrats.com. You can participate in our meetings, events, and activities without being a member. Sign up to volunteer here

The County Committee is now meeting most months on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm, in person with a Zoom option, or occasionally Zoom only. View our Calendar to see when and where our next meeting is and find out how to participate. Guests are welcome!
